Admiral Nurses are specialist dementia nurses who work with families and professionals from other agencies. They provide information, advice and emotional support to families affected by dementia, including psychological support to help family carers understand and deal with their thoughts, feelings and behaviour and to adapt to the changing situation. They also have a supportive educational and consultancy role to professionals, voluntary sector and communities supporting people with dementia.
